• Student A undergoes six months of structured, direct onsite training with a teacher, including practical exercises, individual coaching, chart interpretation, corrections and case verification.

• Student B spends twelve months learning through online lessons, recorded videos and self-study, without equivalent individual coaching and practical supervision.

Now put both students through the same practical assessment.

Ask them to analyse unfamiliar charts, identify individual characteristics, explain life patterns, verify interpretations against actual experiences, identify underlying problems and provide appropriate guidance.

The honest comparison is not how many months each student has studied, but what each student can actually demonstrate.

You may find that the six-month onsite student performs substantially better than the twelve-month online student, despite having spent only half the learning time.

The difference comes from direct interaction, immediate correction, guided practice, individual attention and the ability of a teacher to identify and address each student’s weaknesses.

Of course, learning outcomes depend on the student’s commitment, aptitude, teaching quality and training structure. But time spent watching lessons should never be confused with practical competence.

Ultimately, measure mastery by competency, not by the number of lessons completed or certificates collected.
