“Zi Wei Dou Shu” the word 斗“dou” means?
In the books, it represents the 28 stars constellation. To some it represent the 斗君 “dou jun” current year of monthly application. But in fact the answer is neither the both of them.
At the beginners level, it is common during the yearly luck cycle plotting to wonder whether the yearly or the current year to be used as a gauge. Because the yearly cycle is always in the triangular it us until I mastered the “dou jun” that I can know the actual happenings. It enables a clearer and more detail view of the yearly ups and downs of the chart using an unconventional “dou jun” that is not available from the books in the market.
“Zi Wei Dou Shu” 紫微斗數 it is an art that is easy to learn but hard to master, of all the subjects in the metaphysics world. The beginners always will always find it easy as the character prediction is very simple to master. All type of books has the stars character but the luck cycle is a more advanced theory that is not easy to master.
Many contents of books are being recopied from each other many times repeatedly. Looking deeper the examples are very important that can be used verify and validate to further research for improvements.
A few pointers for the beginner during their early learning stages are to let go of the theory and try to simplify. Always go back to basics and grasp the three luck cycle. Firstly your chart, secondly luck cycle and thirdly the small cycle. This 3 combination with plenty of research and coupled with the “dou jun” (not the monthly) the accuracy will be frightening.
